The last lecture
Randy Pausch, a Carnegie Mellon professor and alumnus, delivered a one-of-a-kind final lecture in September 2007. It caught the attention of millions of people, and became an international media phenomenon. It also resulted in a best-selling book that has been published in many languages. Only 10 months after his lecture on what is really important in life, Pausch died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 47.
